Switching To Digital TV Programming

0

With all the buzz about digital TV programming and analog airwaves for TV’s going dead in 2009, there is another side of the story that no one is talking about.

As with anything digital (ones and zeros) Folks such as broadcasters, advertisers, and the federal government can and will know exactly what you are watching.

Isn’t it odd that the government is giving out rebate coupons to help those with analog TV sets?

With digitial TV programming advertisers will be able to deliver customized advertising based on your TV viewing habits, live voting with interactive TV sets, interactive shopping, and the list goes on.

The question is how much more intrusion into our private lives do we want? Do we really want advertisers, state or federal government, or anyone else for that matter knowing what our TV viewing habits are?

What are your thoughts about the switch to all digital tv programming?
